But God...

“But God”, a phrase so small yet it holds so much power. Two very short words, yet they show us God’s glory invading earth: moments where God Himself divinely intervenes to carry out His will to change the narrative of the lives of His people.

This “but God” moment happened to Monique, who was facing an unplanned pregnancy during the peak of this pandemic and who just lost her job due to the height of COVID. Having had an abortion in the past, pregnancy was not something she and her boyfriend planned for, and it was certainly not what they wanted. But as the pandemic hit, Monique started to get sick. When she tested for COVID, it was “negative,” but she was told she might be pregnant instead.

Monique was then sent to a Pre-Born! Pregnancy Clinic, where her pregnancy got confirmed. Then Monique’s “but God” moment happened when she received a free ultrasound and saw a beautiful picture of a 20-week-old baby, displayed through a screen – a picture that broke through a mother’s heart, like a window straight from heaven. The ultrasound clearly depicted a child, alive.

Monique couldn’t help but cry, but now it was because she was happy. Her fear turned into excitement, her worries into joy. The picture of her child changed her mind, and God’s will that day was carried forth on earth, as Monique and her boyfriend both decided to choose life.

Throughout Scriptures we see repeatedly, that God’s intervention is displayed through willing vessels – willing vessels who allow the Lord to use them through faithfulness and obedience. It is no different today.

You, a Pre-Born! Lifesaver made Monique’s “but God” moment happen, a decision that not only changed the trajectory of her life, but now the life of the preborn baby in her womb. In just a few weeks this baby will get an opportunity to be used as God’s vessel here on earth, as well as an opportunity to experience their own “but God” moments.

This is the Glory of God in 2020, manifest in the work of the gospel and ministry of life through His people. And that is you. Regardless of the circumstance, you have honored the Lord and stayed faithful to the work He has called you to, the work of saving babies and saving souls.

So, this year, we not only celebrate the lives saved and souls won; but we celebrate the lives of those who stood in the gap and stepped up to be Pre-Born! Lifesavers and Gospel Champions.
